KEB Deutschland – Katholische Erwachsenenbildung
KEB Deutschland stands for Katholische Erwachsenenbildung in Deutschland e.V. (Catholic Adult Education in Germany). The association is one of the leading organisations for adult education in Germany working on a Catholic basis. KEB Deutschland represents the interests of Catholic adult education at national level and coordinates the activities of its members working in adult education.
The main aims and tasks of KEB Deutschland include:
- Promoting adult education: KEB supports and promotes educational programmes for adults that are rooted in Christian values and aim at the holistic development of the individual.
- Networking and cooperation: KEB acts as a network for the many Catholic educational institutions in Germany, such as education centres, academies and adult education colleges, encouraging exchange and cooperation between them.
- Quality development: The association works to raise the quality of adult education and to share contemporary, Christian-inspired knowledge.
- Political advocacy: KEB Deutschland takes part in political and social debates to promote and strengthen the role of Catholic adult education. It stands up for the rights and concerns of adult education institutions at a political level.
- Educational programmes: KEB itself organises events, seminars and training courses on social, religious and ethical topics.
Through its work, KEB Deutschland aims to ensure that adult education in Germany not only passes on knowledge but also contributes to personal development and to promoting ethical and social values. It gives adults the opportunity to develop both intellectually and spiritually.
