Hochschule für Polizei Baden-Württemberg and PRO HfPol e.V. – supporters' association
The Hochschule für Polizei Baden-Württemberg (Baden-Württemberg Police University) is the central training and professional development institution for the police in the state of Baden-Württemberg. It provides the academically grounded knowledge and practical training that police work demands, combining modern higher education with real-world policing.
The Hochschule für Polizei Baden-Württemberg offers degree programmes that prepare students for the various career paths within the police. At its heart is the bachelor's programme for the upper-grade police service, which brings together law, criminology, social sciences and operational practice. It also offers further qualifications and professional development for serving police officers.
Alongside teaching, the Hochschule für Polizei Baden-Württemberg places great emphasis on research and development in the field of internal security. Through projects and academic work, it helps to address current challenges such as digitalisation, trends in crime and social change, and to feed the findings back into police work.
This makes the Hochschule für Polizei Baden-Württemberg both a place of learning and a driving force for modern, community-focused and evidence-based policing.
